The image is a feature of Jali panels used for the San Deigo Hilton. Within the back layer of the panels were laminated large digital artworks by public artist Nori Sato. The 12' x 14' artworks are installed within a hinged metal frame and back-lit. The pattern is Jali Cascata, and the panels are 1" thick. The architect for this project is John Portman & Associates.
