Tate and Lyle
Chicago, Illinois
This Chicago project by Cannon Design showcases a dramatic three-story feature wall within the Tate and Lyle space. Composed of meticulously arranged Jali Cascata panels, each panel features a unique mosaic-like configuration of colored squares on its reverse side, creating a custom gradient that transitions from dark at the bottom to light at the top—an artistic representation of sugar crystal processing that resonates with Tate and Lyle's industry.
The wall's visual impact comes from both its impressive scale and thoughtful design details, with six panels stacked vertically to create the complete installation. Back-lighting enhances the dimensional quality of the panels, allowing the mosaic gradient pattern to be fully appreciated while serving as an architectural centerpiece within this distinctive space.
