Furniture & Fixture
Creative furniture and fixture designs have been realized with light manipulating materials in a wide range of applications, including shelves, displays, tables, seats, accents, horizontal surfaces, dimensional surfaces and complex monolithic pieces. These installations lend themselves to both commercial and residential environments.
Entrance & Gathering SpacesBold foyers and calming, restorative spaces can be created using fixtures. The choice of materials adds character.

For this design by Environ Interior Design Associates, Jali Cascata and Flight panels we used to bring color and joy to the resplendent interiors of the luxury condominium. Using the same finishes in the furniture as in the doors makes gives the design a cohesive and finished appeal.
Shelves Integrated in a Sensory Wall
“The Sensitile Scintilla was a catalyst for hands-on activity in the Kennedy Krieger Lobby. We selected the product for a vertical application due to its transmittance of light, sensory stimulation with light and shadow effects, smooth surface for easy cleaning, and its low-tech, high-impact results. Located at the check-in desk and lobby area helped to invite people into the space and immediately interact with the building.” Stanley Beaman & Sears, Atlanta, GA – Jennifer Wilkinson

Modern Minimalism in Furniture Design
In the bold and colorful design of the cafe in the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, ADD Inc. used JaliⓇ Cascata panels fabricated into a central community table with waterfall legs. The same material, on the face of the refreshments stand creates a cohesive aesthetic.
Dynamic elements in this interesting and modern space inspires creativity and engagement.
Custom cast furniture and floors are a perfect match
In this Remedios Studio design, custom-formed Sensitile Terrazzo™ slabs bolster the registration desks at the Aria Convention Center in Las Vegas. The tops have integral, semi-circular indents at the chair locations and they have a 3″ drop-down edge. The material continues from the desk to the floor via a return leg.
Accents as insetsPrecisely fabricated material cut to finished size and shape can be used as insets in furniture.
A dynamic dappled nature effect
Designed by Stantec Boston, SLANTⓇ Turbulence panels form the face of the reception desk at the Abiomed Headquarters in Boston. The light filtering quality of the material combined with softening effect of the frosted surface finish gives it a warm, elegant and welcoming appeal.

This variation however exhibits a unique backlit feature which illuminates the resin panels and offers a soft glow due to the matte finish. Resin panels with a matte finish are easily serviceable when cleaning and removing scratches and imperfections.
Seats, Occasional tables and StoolsFabrication or casting into shapes opens up unique design possibilities.
Stanley Beaman & Sears used Interactive ScintillaⓇ panels to add fun and interest to tables in the examination rooms. These were produced to finish size and oval shape to fit as an inset into a solid surface.
Children and their families engage with the material as it creates a play of light and shadow, positively distracting them from the context of their visit.
